Vancouver's Home Energy Loan Program offers loans at a low, fixed interest rate to support home energy efficiency upgrades. The Home Energy Loan Program is a simple solution for homeowners interested in lowering energy bills, reducing greenhouse gases and improving comfort in their homes. Energy savings from these upgrades could offset the majority of the upgrade costs. All single family or duplex homeowners in Vancouver are eligible for the loan.

 

 

Unplugged

Unplugged, the new Small Appliance Recycling Program, gives a recycling option for the >2,000,000 small appliances currently being landfilled each year. As of Oct 1, recycle your old and broken small appliances at one of over 100 Unplugged drop-off lcoations across the province and help reduce pollution, save energy and protect the environment.

FortisBC is making yuck useful. When bacteria break down organic waste, they produce biogas that can be captured and upgraded to pipeline-quality renewable natural gas. FortisBC residential customers can now sign up for renewable natural gas. It’s a simple way to reduce your carbon footprint even more.
