ODOS Classroom Activities and Workshops

ODOS schools are offered classroom activities to help students better understand climate protection. Delivery of these programs is organized for all the ODOS schools at no cost.

Keep Cool Play

DreamRiders' Keep Cool Play introduces schools to the ideas of conservation and climate protecting transportation choices, while making learning fun and entertaining! The plays are currently being performed at ODOS schools and other schools in the Lower Mainland. Keep Cool is sponsored by the City of Vancouver.

Climate Change Showdown

BC Sustainable Energy Association's Climate Change Showdown is a free 80-minute workshop for students in Grades 5-7. It includes playing the Climate Change Game where students work as a team to move a dinosaur around a game board. There's also a DVD called the Climate Change Show and a take-home activity for students to work with their families on energy saving actions. This is tailored to BC Ministry PLOs (prescribed learning outcomes).
