Peter's thoughts

Peter

Peter Simpson is the CEO of the Greater Vancouver Home Builders Association. He's eager to get his voice heard when it come to building green. "Builders who resist even a cursory examination of green building strategies are somewhat surprised to learn they are already incorporating many green features in their homes such as energy-efficient windows and doors, heating systems and appliances, faucet and shower-flow resistors and low-flush toilets. It's not really a quantum leap to the next plateau."

Educating buyers about the green components of buildings is important. Buyers like the notion of living in a healthier and more comfortable environment and this can be a major influence when they're making their purchase decisions.
