Bobs & Lolo

Feel the beat! Get on your feet! Acclaimed for interactive performances, Bobs & LoLo are sure to have audiences singing and dancing along before the first song is done. Dedicated to connecting kids to nature with music, movement and make-believe, this Canadian music duo was honoured as 2012 Juno Award nominees and are regularly featured on the national television network, Treehouse TV.


Will Stroet & the Backyard Band

Award-winning children's entertainer Will Stroet inspires kids to be active, healthy, creative and engaged in the world through educational music in English and French. Catchy and kinetic, Will and his Backyard Band perform a high-energy family show with fun actions and sing-along choruses. Will is also the star of Will's Jams, airing nationwide on Kids' CBC. He has received a West Coast Songwriters Award and multiple nominations from the Western Canadian Music Awards, Canadian Folk Music Awards and SiriusXM Indies. 


Music with Marnie

Marnie Grey’s popularity has exploded over the last fourteen years due to four hit CD’s, consecutive sellout shows and incredibly popular Music Classes . With a strong background in both Early Childhood Education and children’s music, Marnie combined her two talents and developed and taught five unique Music and Movement Classes from 1999 to present. In December 2012, Marnie's performances & classes received high acclaim, winning not 1, but 2 West Coast Families Reader's Choice GOLD Awards for Best Classes and Best Children's Performer! 


SPES BioBlitz

Stanley Park Ecology Society (SPES) is celebrating 25 years of nature activities, education, conservation and wildlife support with a super-sized “BioBlitz”!  Join science experts in owl prowls, bird walks, bat surveys, and much more at both Lumberman’s Arch and Beaver Lake.  SPES and other nature organizations of your neighbourhood will showcase animal tracks, skulls and much more with fascinating tales, tips, and fun activities for all ages.  


The Legion of Flying Monkeys Horn Orchestra

The Legion of Flying Monkeys Horn Orchestra is an interactive, folk/rock singalong band dominated by the sound of wooden 'Fuhorns', and determined to plant repetitious lyrics in your head. Band Leader and Hornmaker, Mr. Fire-Man's main purpose in life is to induce Canadians to escape their cubicles and spend the remainder of their lives growing kale and singing in groups.


The Purple Pirate

The Purple Pirate is hunting for treasure and you can come along! He brings magic, comedy and invites audience members to uncover the mysterious bounty and share it with everyone.  Purple Pirate is excited to be a part of the Stanley Park celebration and looks forward to laughing with you.

  Vancouver Korean Dance Society

Vancouver Korean Dance Society aims to contribute to the Canadian mosaic by sharing the beauty of Korean cultural dance, through a variety of initiatives that include collaboration with other cultural artists and groups, participation in festivals, and the production of the annual Korean Dance Festival. Artistic Director Hye Seoung (Vivian) Chung, who has dedicated her life to mastering the art of Korean traditional dance, also studied contemporary dance in England. With her roots firmly planted in Canada, her choreography and productions are inspired by the expanse of the Canadian landscape, the dynamism of Canada's multicultural society, and the depth of Korean traditional dance.  

Vancouver Pars National Ballet

Vancouver Pars National Ballet was established in 1989 in North Vancouver, by Azita Sahebjam. She had been an active participant of Pars National Ballet since 1978 in Tehran, Iran until the Islamic Republic of Iran banned dancing. VPNB is committed to preserving and perpetuating the forgotten and lost tradition of Iranian folklore dances and present them to the world, so they may witness the creative side of our culture. VPNB is always endeavoring to project how art can interconnect communities.  


Ta Daa Lady

Angela Brown is "the Ta Daa Lady" specializing in children's entertainment and arts education based in Vancouver Canada. Angela has a variety of interactive stage shows for family audiences with clown, tap dancing, mime and songs from her CD "Ta Daa Lady & her Puppets".  

Nylon Zoo

Angela Brown, the Ta Daa Lady, is the Canadian representative of the Nylon Zoo, a variety of handmade inflatables for interactive storytelling and colorful costumes for parades and dances. For "Celebrate! Stanley Park" one of Angela's storytellers; Lori Sherritt Fleming of Tickle Trunk Players, will bring the Nylon Zoo whale and costumes to this exciting event.


Papergirl is an inclusive, non-commercial art project that brings people together in celebration of art and community in an unconventional way: through the spirit of altruism. In this annual project, artists of all ages and abilities are invited to donate their work to a non-juried exhibition. Afterward, the artwork is rolled into bundles and is distributed by a team of cyclists (in the style of the American paperboy) to anyone they meet along specific bike routes around the lower mainland of British Columbia, Canada.


Gamelan Bike Bike

Gamelan Bike Bike is an ongoing, long-term recycling project to give bicycles destined for the scrap-yard a new life as musical instruments. Drawing inspiration from the dynamic sounds of Balinese Gamelan music, we have re-created the tuning of a gamelan in bicycle form, top-tube by bottom tube, note by note. Come make music with us!


Cloudscape Comics

Ever since 2007, Cloudscape Comics has devoted itself to enhancing the BC comics community. In addition to publishing a yearly graphic novel anthology, Cloudscape teaches comics classes, participates in numerous community events, and hosts a weekly meeting for artists to network and receive feedback.


Madame Beespeaker

Lori Weidenhammer (aka Madame Beespeaker, aka The Queen Bee) is an artist who works in gardens with folks who want to spend time celebrating all things bright and bee-yoo-tiful. She is currently artist in residence at the Moberly Cultural Herb Garden. 


Funky Yukalator

Yuki Ueda is a multi-talented performance artist, and an inspiring trainer of the ‘ground-level’ circus art based in Vancouver, Canada. He is also the co-founder of MadSkillz Vancouver, an annual juggling festival and the co-founder of Sideshow Studios, a rehearsal space dedicated for performing artists. With his love for the art and the community, he will show what fun is all about. 


Sonic Playground

Watch for performers making music as they pedal on The Organ Bike and Kalimba Bike. These pedal powered musical instruments were created by New York sound artist Leslie Ross and students in the Burnaby School District Digital Sound Production and Recording Program as part of Sonic Playground, an annual program presented by Western Front New Music and the Roundhouse. Sonic Playground connects sound artists with children and youth to create innovative sound and music projects.


Katari Taiko

Katari Taiko has the distinction of being the first taiko drum group formed in Canada and has developed a large and enthusiastic popular following. The ensemble will perform pieces from its extensive repertoire of both traditional and modern pieces, including original compositions. Katari Taiko's synergy, its joy and passion, together with the visceral experience of the drumming appeals to audiences of all ages and transcends cultural barriers. 


Parks Canada

Come join Parks Canada's urban outreach team at our booth and view real life treasures from Canada's most wild and stunning national parks. Touch a radio collar worn by a black bear, see a beaver skull up close, touch the fur of a wolverine and more. During your visit with us, you can also get a free temporary airbrush tattoo of a Grizzly Bear or Whale, and meet mascot Parka the Beaver! 


The Doodle Girls

Jessie Brennan and Caitlin Legault are artists and childcare professionals who love to create new and exciting face painting designs for your special day. They bring that extra festiveness to any event with bright colours, quality paints, kid friendly outfits and personalities. 


Coast Salish Dance Performances

Dance performances from the three First Nations whose traditional territory includes Stanley Park. Performers from Musqueam, Squamish, & Tsleil-Waututh Nations will dance, drum and sing traditional songs together. 


Coast Salish Cultural Tent

Learn history, facts and stories at the tent where Ambassadors from the Musqueam, Squamish & Tsleil-Waututh Nations will be on hand to share information and answer questions about their traditional territories and culture. 

Coast Salish Artisans

The Coast Salish artisans welcome you to enjoy their traditional and contemporary artwork for sale at the Artisan Tent. Four artists/young entrepreneurs from each of the 3 Nations – Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh will display their talents for everyone to enjoy. 


Vancouver Aquarium AquaVan

The Vancouver Aquarium AquaVan, presented by BC Hydro, delivers programs that inspire the stewardship of all aquatic habitats and encourage the discovery of connections between animals, environments and ourselves. 

Shan-E-Punjab Arts Club was founded in April 2007 by a group of passionate bhangra and giddha devotees, all of whom have countless years of practice and knowledge under their belt. The joint passion for their culture, heritage and musical art was combined to create this flourishing academy. Shan-E-Punjab Arts Club promises to keep the next generation linked with their beautiful folk dances and to keep the ethnic Punjabi culture and heritage alive. 

Mortal Coil
Look up to the sky and see magic and mystery of Mortal Coil. Larger-Than-Life imagery. Lavishly costumed stilt dancers, here, everywhere. 


Fresh Groove Productions 

The showcase from FRESH GROOVE PRODUCTIONS will include performances by our award winning crews, including Canadian National Hip Hop champions and world Hip Hop medalists, as well as a top 2 group from Canada's Got Talent. Dancers are between 6 to 23 years of age.  These dancers come from all across the Lower Mainland and train year round to perform and compete at national and international levels.

Painters Circle is an out-door art market, exclusive to Stanley Park, where local world-known artists display and sell their art.
