Off-leash dog area at Hinge Park

Hinge Park temporary dog off-leash area expansion

The Vancouver Park Board will expand the fenced off-leash dog area in Hinge Park to meet rising demand in Mount Pleasant.

The expansion will be on City-owned land just west of Hinge Park and will be temporary until we plan and build a future park there.

The area will increase from 578 m² to 1,063 m² and include more trees and seating. We're currently considering either:

  • One large fenced area
  • Two separated areas for large and small dogs

June 2015

We asked what you thought of the expansion options in an online questionnaire from June 16 to 30. Thank you to the 106 people who participated.

Of those who responded 40 per cent preferred Option A the most (one large fenced area for both large and small dogs).
