Nanaimo Park playground upgrade

Nanaimo Park playground

The upgraded playground at Nanaimo Park is now open.

The playground features a climbing net, saucer swing, seating, old cedar logs, boulders, and a sand play area.

Also included in the design is a new path, ramps to the new wood chip surfacing, a universal swing and a "we-saw" to help improve accessibility.

In winter 2015, about 20 trees will be planted to provide additional shade around the playground.
