Walking to Wellness

Take the Walking to Wellness Corporate Challenge and walk 100 kilometres in 12 weeks. You will feel better while enjoying the sights of one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
Each participating company will receive Walking to Wellness Passports and Personal Journals for each individual. The Passports provide the locations of more than 35 walks in the City of Vancouver. The Personal Journals will enable each participant to record either their kilometers or steps. The goal is to walk 100 kilometres or, for those with pedometers, 198,000 steps in a 12 week period.
There are more than 35 suggested routes in the Walking to Wellness Passport with detailed information on starting points, directions, and distances. Additional walking routes are posted on the Step Out Walks web page. Participants are encouraged to walk anywhere as long as they cover the distance and log their progress. When you have completed the Challenge present your log sheet to your company's Walk Coordinator.
At the completion of the 12 week Challenge, the company Walk Coordinator will email the completed Walking to Wellness Corporate Summary sheet to debra.graham@vancouver.ca .
Participants who complete the Challenge will receive a recognition pin. The company will receive additional prizes to distribute to the staff.
