The inaugural Vancouver Draw Down happening runs June 11, 12 and 13th, 2010 and will captivate and transform the city through expanded ideas of drawing, participatory city-wide projects, workshops, multi-disciplinary events and documentary pieces. Museums, galleries, community centres and arts organizations across the city will present exhibitions and collaborative drawing projects of all shapes, sizes and media, including a city-wide public drawing project throughout May and June. Whether you join us to draw with your pen or your bicycle wheels, on rag paper or the sidewalk, we challenge you to engage and perform, to throw down your pencil and declare: I can draw!

Vancouver Draw Down: A celebration of drawing in everyday life!

Everybody does it... from doodling while on the phone, to drawing a map for directions; from drawing cartoons and caricatures to imagined landscapes. And May and June will be an opportunity to recognize and celebrate drawing for all.
