CHAIR'S REPORT
The Chair reported on the East 6th Avenue elm tree celebration, Tennis BC news conference at Trout Lake, and Chinese Lunar New Year events.

GENERAL MANAGER'S REPORT
Park Board related items on Council and Committee agendas this week include: Vancouver Economic Commission's Economic Action Strategy and Cities Summit 2012 hosted by Vancouver and the Vancouver Economic Commission.

STAFF REPORTS

Jericho Marginal Wharf - Phase 2 Concept Plan
The Board approved the final proposed concept plan for the Jericho Marginal Wharf site. The plan combines ecological restoration, beach recreation, public gathering and historical interpretation. Construction will be complete in Fall 2012.

MOTION

The Board put forward a motion that directed staff to initiate a six month moratorium on the demolition of Riley Park Community Centre, to allow the community and the Board time to consider options for future use. The motion failed.

The next regular Park Board meeting will be held at 7 pm on Monday, February 13, 2012 at 2099 Beach Avenue.
