Ice Skating Lessons

Ice Bookings
Limited ice rental opportunities are available during our regular season for schools, skating parties, hockey or broomball. More rental opportunities are available during our sessional break from Saturday, December 19-Friday, January 1. Ice rental availability can be viewed on-line on the Vancouver Park Board website.

Kerrisdale Play Palace
The Kerrisdale Community Centre Society, in partnership with the Vancouver
Park Board, brings you the Kerrisdale Play Palace located at the Kerrisdale Arena. The Play Palace runs late April to late August each year and is ideal for families with children 12 years and under, this giant indoor playground includes:
 2 inflatable Bouncy Castles
An inflatable Obstacle Course
22’ Inflatable Giant Slide
Ride on cars and toys
Ping Pong, foosball, basketball shooting
Musical instruments
Toddler area with padded flooring, carpet games and lots of toys
Play Palace Public Drop-in
The Play Palace will be open everyday for public drop-in starting
Tuesday, May 4 through to Thursday, September 2, 2010. The drop-in schedule and admission fees will be posted in early April 2010.
PRE-SEASON drop-in hours will be from April 20-23 & April 26-28 from 12:00-4:00pm. Private parties bookings are also available in the pre-season between Apr 19-28.
Please respect the following rules regarding drop-in at the Play Palace:
- Children MUST be supervised by an adult at all times
- All children MUST wear socks
- Children MUST not wear shoes in teh play area (adults may wear shoes except in the the toddler/preschool area)
- Please walk, DO NOT RUN
- Food and drinks are not allowed in the play area
- Toddler & Preschool area is for children under 6 yrs old only
- On the slide, go feet first & on your bottom only
- Adults are not allowed on any of the inflatable equipment
Group Bookings: we welcome school, preschool, out-of-school care and daycamp groups Monday-Friday from 12:00-2:00pm only. Groups MUST pre-book by calling 604-257-8122 or e-mailing kerrisdalearena@vancouver.ca. Pre-booked groups of 10 or more are eligible for a rate of $2.75/child
Play Palace strip tickets from previous seasons are non-refundable, however, they do not expire and we will accept them for future Play Palace seasons.

Play Palace 2010 Birthday Parties
2010 Birthday Party booking will begin on Monday, January 18, 2010 at 9:00am on-line, by e-mail and by phone. Any requests received prior to 9:00am will not be accepted. Please DO NOT come in person to the Arena. Registration procedures for booking parties is listed below.
There are two options to having your party at the Play Palace. You can attend during our public session where you will share the play area with other users or you can rent the facility privately for exclusive use by your group. We operate birthday party programs 7 days per week between May 4-September 2, 2010.

If you are creating an electronic invitation using a site such as evite.com and would like an image of the play palace, please contact us at kerrisdalearena@vancouver.ca and we will send you the image to the left.
We also recommend that you prepare name tags for the children & adults attending your party as there may be 5 concurrent parties occurring at one time at the Play Palace. This will help you identify who belongs to your party area. You can pick up name tags as most Dollar Stores or at office supplies stores. You may want to include the person's name and the name of your party area on the name tag. |

| Things to Note Before Booking Your Party |
| Please review the important information below which will apply to all parties booked at the Play Palace: |
- Parent participation is mandatory. Staff are only responsible for ensuring that equipment is avialable and safe to operate.
- We only provide tables and chairs. All food, decorations and other party equipment is the responsibility of the party organizer
- You will be provided 30 minutes before and after your booking time for set up and clean up of your party area. You MUST vacate the party area 30 minutes after your booking
- We do not have any kitchen facilities so food can not be cooked or warmed on site. Deliveries from restaurants are accepted (e.g. pizza) .We are only able to store a cake (regular or ice cream) in our fridge for you.
- Shoes can not be worn on the floor and socks are mandatory for children
- Adults are not allowed on any of the inflatable equipment
- We are not responsible for lost or stolen items

| Booking Procedures & Policies |
All weekend public party time slots and private party bookings can be completed ON-LINE if you have an existing on-line account with the Vancouver Park Board.
You can register on-line by visiting our Birthday Party activity listing and clicking on the appropriate date.
If you are registering for multiple children or on behalf of an organization or would like to change and/or add time for your Private Party Booking, please e-mail kerrisdalearena@vancouver.ca or phone 604-257-8122
If you would like to book Public Party during a weekday, please contact us by phone or by e-mail. |

| Please note: bookings are only confirmed upon receipt of FULL payment. Cancellation notice MUST be received two full weeks before your booking date. All approved refunds are subject to a $10 administration fee. |

This is the only enclosed room that we have. It is on the Ground Floor with direct access to the Play Area.
