The Killarney Community Centre Society operates Licensed Preschool & Out of School Care services out of Killarney Community Centre and the Champlain Heights Children and Family Centre located at Champlain Heights Community Centre.

Our Preschool services operate 5 days a week and offers a number facilities and activities to help develop important skills for your child(ren) in an educational and nuturing environment.
We focus on activities such as free play, arts & crafts, cooking & baking, gym time, outdoor exploration, music & circle time, sports & games and field trips.
The 3 year old children attend on Tue and Thu for 2 hour sessions, while the 4 year old children attend on Mon, Wed and Fri for 2.5 hour sessions. We offer 2 classes a day-one in the morning and one in the afternoon. You may register for either morning or afternoon, not both. |

| Licensed Out of School Care |

Our service is provided to school age children (Kindergarten to Grade 7) before and/or after school. Our programs focuses on providing a safe, secure, nurturing and stimulating environment.
Services include dropping off children at school and picking them up (Weir, Waverley, Corpus Christi and Captain Cook only), preparing snack (food not provided) and providing enjoyable activities such as crafts, board games, computer and gym time, ice skating, videos and more. We focus on Weir, Waverley, Corpus Christi and Captain Cook schools but accept children from other schools if they arrange their own transportation to and from the Centre. Children registered in the current year will be give priority to register for the subsequent year. We will accept daily drop-ins if space permits.
We provide a full day program from 7:30-6:30pm on non-instructional days and seasonal breaks at Weir, Waverley, and Corpus Christi. The cost is $18 /day (9:00-3:00pm) for children not registered in Out of School Care. Extra charges may apply for out-trips. For those not registered in Out of School Care, registration begins 5 days in advance, space permitting. You will need to follow the daily drop-in procedures if you require extended care, 7:30-9:00am and/or 3:00-6:30pm. |

| Registration Procedures for Preschool |
Place your child on the waiting list as soon as possible! This can be done as early as January 1st of the year that your child turns 2 years old. For example, if your child turns 2 years old in August, you should place him/her on the waiting list in January.
For Killarney Preschool please call 604-718-8201 and for Champlain Heights Chilren & Family Centre Preschool please call 604-718-6573 or stop by in person to register. Please feel free to request your preference for the time (morning or afternoon) of your class.
Staff will contact parents as classes are being formed, usually in late April or early May, for the upcoming September session. Parents will be given a due date to complete their registration and pay a non-refundable deposit for the first (September) and last (June) months of the program. At the same time, post-dated cheques, dated for the first of each month (October-May) or full payment will be required for the balance of the year. Children who have completed the 3 year old preschool program will be given priority for the 4 year old class of the subsequent year. If you decide you no longer wish to have your child on the waiting list, please call the front desk and let us know. |

| Registration Procedures for Out of School Care |
Place your child ’s name on the waiting list as early as January 1st of the year that your child turns 5 years old. We main tain a waiting list and call from the list when a space becomes available. If you decide you no longer wish to have your child on the waiting list, please call the front desk at 604-718-8201 and let us know. Registered children have priority to keep their space for the subsequent year. |

| Cancellation & Refund Policy for Licensed Childcare |
| For withdrawal requests, families must give one month's written notice to the front office by the first calendar day of the month to receive a refund or will be required pay the next month's fee in lieu of notice. |
