Catherine Andersen has been teaching dance at numerous studios and recreation centres for over 14 years. With diverse training in ballet, modern/contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, Pilates technique, and yoga, she is a highly sought-after instructor. She won numerous awards and scholarships at local dance festivals before pursuing her professional dance career. Catherine holds a BFA degree in contemporary dance from Simon Fraser University, a Dance Diploma from Grant MacEwan College, and is a certified Pilates mat-work instructor. Melissa Bandura teaches both yoga and violin in a fun environment where personal creativity is encouraged. Shary Bartlett teaches fine art and writing at Capilano University and Langara College. She is an award-winning academic with a Master's degree in Canadian Studies, literature and art history from Carleton University. Allison Berry has a Bachelor of Education from the University of Victoria - specializing in theatre and choral music. She has been teaching adult singing classes since 1993 and has had great success in teaching those who believe they can’t sing. Allison creates an environment in which it is truly fun to sing, and she has consistently demonstrated a sense of passion when leading her classes. Miriam Davidson has been in demand as an educator and a performer since 2002. She has a Bachelor of Music degree from the University Of British Columbia. She teaches voice and beginner piano in her studio in the Fraserview area of Vancouver as well at Mt. Pleasant Community Centre and at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts. Miriam takes a very positive and encouraging approach to voice and piano teaching. Voice lessons for youth and adults focus building good control, tone and confidence through breath support. Paola Parrotta grew up with dance, swim, and gymnastics lessons. Paola has always lived an active lifestyle. Several years ago, she discovered the many benefits of both yoga and pilates. She embraced the feeling of strength, balance, and spiritual wellness both practices brought to her life. In the spring of 2008, Paola completed her pilates instructor training, and has been teaching pilates since July 2008. She also completed her Fitness Theory training through Douglas College and is BCRPA certified. |

Michael Gabriel Rosen (Más Movement) fell in love with Cuban Salsa in 2002 in Santiago de Cuba and in 2004 was trained as an instructor by Dos con Dos dance school in Quebec City. He founded the Más Movement dance school in Vancouver in 2007. As a dancer, Michael has danced in the Dos con Dos dance troupe (Quebec City), Estilo Cubano (Vancouver) and has recently co-created the Más Movement Manifestation - aka MMM (Vancouver). Michael´s extensive training in facilitation (Power of Hope, Check Your Head, Safeteen) contributes to the positive and inclusive learning environment in his classes. He is particularly skilled at giving precise feedback and balancing group and individual needs. Michael, who came to salsa as a foreigner (or yuma), is grateful be working with this powerful form of cultural expression. He sees Cuban Salsa as a way to experience joy and connection as well as an avenue for social change and personal development. |

For nearly two decades, Paul Tam has dedicated himself to the art of Choy Lee Fat under the study of Master Hilbert Yiu. He started Choy Lee Fat in 1988 and achieved the black belt rank in 1992. Ranking #1 In National Black belt League on both Hand and Weapon form for three consecutive years, 7th degree master level under the Confederation of Canadian Wushu Organizations and 6th Duan in Chinese Wushu Duan Wei System from Chinese Wushu Association. Currently, he is the head instructor of CLF Kung Fu Club and Tai Chi Instructor for many Business Corporations and Community Centres. Paul is adept in a variety of fields including hand forms, weapons, self-defense techniques, and full contact sparring as well as Chen's Style Tai Chi. Training as black-belt for more than fourteen years now, he continues his studies in both Choy Lee Fat, and Chen's Style Tai Chi. Throughout the past nineteen years, Paul has won over 40 first place and grand championships in both regional and international competitions. He also represented Canada to compete in the 1st World Traditional Wushu Festival held in Zhengzhou, China in 2004, resulting in two 1st place as well as a 2nd place finish. In 2006, Paul has won two 1st place in "The Second World Traditional Wushu Championships" in China.

Hanna Yung teaches Line Dancing, Ballroom dancing and traditional South East Asian dances. Her style and class regime is used to promote fun and well being through the power of dance. Besides teaching, Hanna also likes to organize fund raising parties and traditional dance performances. Hanna has been part of the Chinese Cultural Association in Kamloops and the Hai Phong Overseas Chinese Association in Vancouver.

Sung Yang is an experienced mindfulness teacher. He began practicing mindfulness in the late 1970s and has taught mindfulness to people from almost all walks of life including doctors, therapists and people with various mental/physical disorders. He received mindfulness trainings from numerous teachers including Thich Nhat Hanh, one of the world's most renowned mindfulness experts. Julia Zennstrom is an independent dance artist and teacher. She graduated from the School of Toronto Dance Theatre. Julia has performed her own choreography at Dances For a Small Stage, Twelve Minutes Max and Merge. She also performed a solo at the 2007 Vancouver International Dance Festival.
