Who We Are
The Out of School Care program serves children between the ages of 5-12 years. 

Each fun day we provide a variety of age-appropriate activities designed to help children develop socially and emotionally, as well as intellectually, physically and creatively.

The Child Care staffs have training and experience in the field of school age care.  They meet all the requirements outlined in the Child Care Licensing Act including a completed criminal record check.

Our Philosophy
Children learn by experience. It is our responsibility to provide a stimulating environment where children develop social and emotionally, as well as intellectually, physically and creatively.  We treat each child as an individual with his or her unique needs and abilities.  Our program provides a comfortable and supportive setting with a focus on the needs and development of children.

Our Program
AM Care (5-12 years)
This mixed-aged program is available to children in kindergarten and up and provides children with a variety of play choices before they are dropped-off at school.

PM Care (5-12 years)
Children are picked up by the staff from Simon Fraser Elementary School and provided daily with an afternoon snack. Our program offers children with opportunities for creative self-expression and exploration through play.

Daily Schedule
Our daily program provides developmentally appropriate activities in both a structured and non-structured environment, that include:

Hours of Operation
We offer care year-round, weekdays from Monday to Friday.  Hours of operation are as follows:

AM Care         7:30-9:00am
PM Care         3:00-6:00pm

Program Fees
Fee rates are set annually by the Mount Pleasant Community Centre Association and are payable on the first of each month.

Note: Enrollment priority is given to full-time registrants.  Part-time schedules are not guaranteed. Full time care for winter, spring and summer holidays will be provided on a weekly basis at an additional cost.

Wait List
A waitlist is kept throughout the year for available openings.  When a space becomes available, the program will attempt to contact the first family on the list.  If contact is not made, the next family will be contacted in the same manner.
