About Us

Mission Statement
To provide educational, cultural, recreational and social service programs to the Thunderbird catchment area.

Membership

Memberships are required to participate in all programs and to utilize the facility. Current memberships expire December 31, 2011.

Child/Youth Newborn-18yrs $2.00
Adult 19-54yrs $5.00
Senior 55+yrs $2.00
Family*   $7.00
*up to 2 adults and their children under 19yrs

We accept memberships for registered cost programs from the following Community Centres: Britannia, Champlain Heights, Hastings, Kensington, Mount Pleasant, Renfrew Park, Ray-Cam, Strathcona and Trout Lake.

Please Note: All drop-in and free programs require a current Thunderbird Membership. Memberships are not prorated or refundable.

Membership Benefits

  • Voting priveleges at Annual General Meetings
  • Eligibility to run for the Board of Directors
  • Access to free programs and services such as the Computer Lab, Games room and Family Drop In.

Thunderbird Neighbourhood Association Annual General Meeting

Monday, November 21, 2011. Registration starts at 5:30 pm and doors close at 6:00 pm. 2011 Thunderbird Membership is required to vote. Memberships must be purchased by Saturday, November 19, 2011. Please contact the office for more information on becoming a Board Member.

Operating Jointly with the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation
The Joint Operating Agreement is intended to define the working partnership between the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation and each of 20 Community Associations developed to provide recreation and leisure opportunities and to facilitate provision of community services to the residents of each community.
