Permits for Public Parks/Beaches
Any commercial enterprise or nonprofit group utilizing a public park or beach space for the provision of a service needs to obtain a permit.

How Do I Apply?
- Complete the application to operate private recreation activities on Public Parks and Beaches
.
Submit the application along with the non-refundable $30 (HST included) application fee and requisite documents via e-mail (parkevents@vancouver.ca) or fax (604-257-8501).
Requisite documents:
- Valid City of Vancouver Business License
- Commercial General Liability Insurance with minimum limits of not less than $2 million dollars protecting the City of Vancouver, Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation and the Vancouver Police Board as additional insured. Higher limits of liability insurance may be required depending on the nature of activities involved. Certificate of Insurance Form

- A detailed site map of the intended area of use. Google satellite image preferred.
- Once your application is received, staff will review the details and ensure that all documentation is complete and acceptable, including site suitability and availability. If required, alternative locations, dates or times will be suggested.
