Sledding in style

January 29, 2008 - It's not often, but when it snows enough in Vancouver to dust off the toboggan, sled or flying saucer we are inevitably drawn to the hilly points in our fair city. Of the over 200 parks under the care of the Vancouver Park Board, a few shine as excellent locations for heading down grassy slopes now made slick with this white and wondrous precipitation.

sleddingThe general rules of sliding follow along those of plain common sense - stay clear of paths, roadways and bodies of water that could cause accidents and be mindful of wildlife, planted garden beds and small trees & shrubs made more brittle by the subzero weather.
