We welcome your input regarding the future of the Stanley Park forest.
The Stanley Park Restoration Project is nearing completion. One of the last remaining tasks is to draft a future management plan for the Stanley Park forest.
The Management Plan is intended to provide an overview of various management practices required to realize the vision statement first published in the Stanley Park Restoration Plan in April 2007 - "That Stanley Park's forest be a resilient coastal forest with a diversity of native tree and other species and habitats, that allows park visitors to experience nature in the city."
The plan was developed in coordination with the University of British Columbia and Stanley Park Ecology Society and includes various modules pertaining to Tree Hazard Mitigation, Wind resilience, Insect and Disease Management, Culturally Modified Trees and Wildlife.
