Explore the amazing world of nature in our beautiful 55-acre garden and come face-to-face with a huge variety of plants and animals! Discover the natural world through plenty of outdoor hands-on practical explorations, games and crafts.

Plant Detectives: Seeds and Leaves Pink flower

How and why do seeds travel? Investigate ‘helicopters’, ‘passengers’, ‘floaters’ and more. Discover why leaves change colour and fall and investigate the magic of autumn.

World of TreesTree

Use your senses to investigate the wonderful world of trees as you explore the Garden in search of 10 terrific trees. Solve clues, play games and make a tree craft as you learn all about trees.

Winter Wonderland Dandelion

Wrap up warm and join us in the Garden as we investigate the changes that plants and animals go through as they prepare for the winter months ahead.

A Midwinter’s LightSnowflakes

December is the month of festivals around the world including many festivals of light during the dark winter months. To welcome VanDusen’s Festival of Light come and make a dazzling lantern in this craft-based program. Cost of materials included in program fee.
