Open Space Advisory Group

In order to provide on-going stakeholder input into the initial open space projects, a Hastings Park Open Space Advisory Group (OSAG) has been established. A call for volunteers was made early in 2011 and the group was established. The OSAG is comprised of a broad range of on-site, community, and city-wide representatives who have experience or a specific interest in the initial park developments. Representation includes (but is not limited) to following group or interest areas:

    • Circus West
    • Cycling (commuting or leisure) or walking
    • Hastings Park Conservancy
    • Leeside Tunnel users
    • Pacific National Exhibition
    • Residents from Hastings/Sunrise Neighbourhood
    • Vancouver Field Sports Federation
    • Vancouver Sports Network
    • Youth

The role of the OSAG will be to review and advise City staff on the design detail and public consultation for the initial park developments of the Hastings Park/PNE Master Plan:

    • Empire Field and Plateau Park
    • Park Greenways for pedestrians and cyclists
    • Creekway Park and New Brighton Connection

It is intended that this group will augment additional public feedback gathered at future public consultation events. Please revisit this page for more information on upcoming events.

Further details about the OSAG's role and its membership can be found in the OSAG Terms of Reference PDF(56kb). The agendas and minutes are posted for the public.
