Information Required
The following information is also required to file a police report if you are a tourist to Vancouver:
- all lost or stolen credit cards and traveller’s cheques should be reported to the appropriate companies immediately; air time on stolen cell phones should be cancelled
- you must also contact your nearest Consulate or Embassy and advise them of the loss or theft of any identification, travel documents, visas and/or passports
- contact travel agencies and/or Customs & Immigration offices to ensure there are no problems with departures from the Vancouver area
- please include in the narrative field your contact information while you are staying in the Vancouver area (i.e. hotel, local friends or relatives being visited, telephone numbers, etc.), as we may have to contact you immediately regarding some aspect of your report; be sure to list your departure date from the Vancouver area and your anticipated return date to your home address
