SENIOR DIRECTOR JASON RUDE

Jason RudeAfter working in the private sector for a number of years, Senior Director Rude started his career in the public sector in 2001 with the Corporation of Delta. Following that, he worked with the City of Port Coquitlam as the City’s Budget Officer.

Immediately prior to joining the VPD, he worked in the City of Vancouver Corporate Budget Office, where he was responsible for corporate oversight of the budget and reporting process for a number of departments, and worked as a liaison between the VPD and the City.

Senior Director Rude joined the Vancouver Police Department in 2009 as the Manager, Financial Analysis. His latest role was as Manager of Budgets and Reporting, where his responsibilities included overseeing the operating and capital budgets, financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting. In his current role as Senior Director of Information Services, he oversees the Information Management Section, Information & Communications Technology, Court & Detention Services, Information & Privacy Unit, Facilities, and Fleet Services.

Senior Director Rude is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA), a Project Management Professional (PMP), and has a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is currently attending the University of Victoria pursing a master’s degree in public administration.
