Operations Division
The Operations Division of the Vancouver Police Department, under the command of Deputy Chief Constable Doug LePard, consists of North and South Command (four patrol districts and the Traffic Section), the Emergency Operational Planning Section (EOPS), the Emergency Response Section, including the Dog Squad.
The VPD's four patrol districts are each separated into car areas. These car areas are defined by community boundaries and are staffed 24 hours a day. Each district, depending on need and resources, is responsible for combating crime in its zone and for designing and maintaining community policing projects within the district.

North Command
North Command is under the command of Supt. 1109 Eric Petit.
South Command
South Command is under the command of Supt. 976 Andy Hobbs.
