Communications Section
The Communications Section ensures the Vancouver Police
Department wireless communications needs are met.
Working with counterparts at E-Comm to ensure the two agencies
provide complementary services, the Communication Section Sergeant is
responsible to ensure that call-taking, radio and dispatch policy and
procedures reflect the standards set by the Vancouver Police Department.
Concerns about quality of service receive close attention to
ensure high standards are maintained. There is also a requirement
to ensure critical VPD systems are functioning to the standards of
Public Safety requirements.
