Compliments and Complaints
The men and women of the Vancouver Police Department are
committed and dedicated to protecting and serving the citizens of
Vancouver. They are committed to making Vancouver a safer city by
providing service to its citizens through integrity, professionalism,
accountability and respect (IPAR) and are often recognized for their outstanding achievements.
If you have had a positive experience with a member of the
Vancouver Police Department or have recently observed a member of the
Vancouver Police Department who you feel is worthy of a compliment, we
would like to hear from you. We are extremely proud of our members and
your comments are greatly appreciated.

Filing a Complaint
Anyone who has concerns about the actions or conduct of a
VPD police officer, the service provided by VPD, or the policies guiding VPD officers, may file a complaint. The Provincial Office of the Police Complaint Commissioner (OPCC) explains the complaint process in the following brochure:
Complaints must generally be made within one year of an incident, and can be made directly to the VPD the following ways:
