About
Sustainability is about the long-term well-being of the planet, people, and other forms of life. It's about meeting our needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. A sustainable Vancouver thinks not just about today, but about tomorrow.
From major planning projects, to how we engage the community, to how we conduct our operations and manage our facilities, the City of Vancouver is working to integrate sustainability into how we do business.
Within the larger organization, the Sustainability Group is a branch of the City of Vancouver whose work focuses on climate protection, green building and bringing sustainability to all aspects of running and building the city, seeking out new ideas and new ways of doing things.
