    WARREN MILLER’S DYNASTY
The 60th annual ski and snowboard film from Warren Miller Entertainment, Warren Miller's Dynasty revels in the past, present, and future of winter sport. It is a film that gathers the generations under one filmic roof, from the Crist Family Patriarch to Glen Plake to Daron Rahlves, and the youth explosion of terrain park talent they've inspired. It's like a family reunion, held in neck deep powder, with mandatory air required for entry. Watch Chris Davenport bring his obsessive mountaineering to Norway's gnarliest peaks, of the Lyngen Alps. Try a young gun invasion of British Columbia's Monashee Mountains by Chris Benchetler and Cody Hawkins. Chris Anthony goes beyond deep into the mountains of central China in search of skiing's roots dating back to 2000 B.C. Meet the guides behind the guys at Cordova, Alaska's Points North Heli Adventures. Reunite with the pride of the midwestern ski community, Luke and Adam Schrab, as they turn Michigan's Timber Ridge into the X Games—with Packers jerseys. Once again hosted by Jonny Moseley, this year's film finds epic snowfall, insane big mountain lines, and huge air in places like Washington's Crystal Mountain, Lake Tahoe's Sierra Nevada mountains, and all across Colorado. It's a one-of-a-kind look at a world you know like your own family. And it leaves no snowball unturned in celebrating everyone who has, does, and will forever be a part of Warren Miller's Dynasty.

99.3 The Fox, the Georgia Straight and Live Nation present Wolfmother with guests Heartless Bastards and thenewno2. After the whirlwind journey the band went on with the Wolfmother album, a voyage that resulted in over one million sales, sold out riots disguised as shows the world over, multiple ARIA Awards and a Grammy, the time has arrived to break the self-imposed silence. Wolfmother has emerged from the Sunset Boulevard studio it called home for the first half of 2009 into the blinding sunlight of a brand new day with a thundering 2nd record, Cosmic Egg.  The title relates to the age-old black hole theory of optimism, wherein the implosion of a star doesn’t instigate a disappearance or destruction, rather a new beginning of a new universe. Cosmic Egg is, in short, the sound of the Wolfmother world being rethunk and cracked wide open, with a sprawling, jubilant galaxy of musical and metaphysical harmony spilling forth. Expedition is welcome to all.

    COLIN JAMES
Live Nation presents Colin James, live in concert. James has juggled his skills as a singer, guitarist and big-band leader so well over the years that diversity seems almost synonymous with his stellar career. He’s also been a restless voyager, traversing genres—from blues and rock to pop and swing and back again. Throughout it all, Colin has always forged ahead, without regard to fads or trends, going wherever his wandering muse takes him. With his latest album, Rooftops and Satellites, Colin has done just that: his singing and guitar playing has never been more soulful and his new songs are among his most meaningful ever. It’s not a breakthrough disc or a comeback record, because Colin’s an established rock and blues institution who’s never gone away. But it is an album that serves notice that Colin James just keeps on getting better.

Cloud Gate’s rich repertoire has its roots in Asian myths, folklore and aesthetics, but brings a contemporary and universal perspective to these age old beliefs and stories. The company is made up of two dozen dancers whose training includes Tai Chi Tao Yin, meditation, martial arts, Chinese Opera movement, modern dance, ballet and calligraphy. PLAYHOUSE THEATRE COMPANY: DELUSION – A NEW SOLO OPERA BY LAURIE ANDERSON
Conceived as a series of short mystery plays, Delusion jump cuts between the everyday and the mythic. Combining violin, electronic puppetry, music and visuals, Delusion is full of nuns, elves, golems, rotting forests, ghost ships, archaeologists, dead relatives and unmanned tankers told in the colorful, poetic and imagistic language that has become Anderson’s trademark. Inspired by the breadth of Balzac, Ozu and Lawrence Sterne and employing a series of altered voices and imaginary guests Anderson tells a complex story about longing, memory and identity. At the heart of Delusion is the pleasure of language and a terror that the world is made entirely of words. "You begin with a blank mind. There is absolutely nothing in it. Not a single picture. There is a void. No names. The first thing to wander into this mind is a small spotted dog named Terence and his owner, historian and social commentator Fenway Bergamot."Presented with Vancouver 2010 Cultural Olympiad. Laurie Anderson, A new work was commissioned by VANCOUVER ORGANIZING COMMITTEE FOR THE 2010 OLYMPIC AND PARALYMPIC WINTER GAMES (VANOC), Vancouver, THE BARBICAN CENTRE, London, with additional support from Brooklyn Academy of Music, NY; Cal Performances, UC Berkeley; Stanford Lively Arts, Stanford University.
