Bookmarks
Saving the current view in a bookmark
After you zoom and pan
to position the map exactly as you want it, you can save a bookmarks of
your map. A bookmark saves all of the information about the current view
of the map under a name that you specify. By using the bookmark in the future,
you can go directly to this same view of the map without having to zoom
and pan again.
City Hall is a built-in bookmark.
Create a bookmark
- Right-click on the map, and then choose Bookmarks
» Add Bookmark
from the right-click menu to display
the Add Bookmark dialogue box.
Note: Bookmark names must not contain any commas (,), question
marks (?), ampersands (&), or pound signs (#).
- Enter a name for this bookmark, and then select OK.
Go to a bookmark
- Right-click in the map area to display the right-click
menu.
- Select Bookmarks and then select the bookmark
you want to view. Your saved bookmarks will be below the Delete
Bookmarks… menu item.
- If you have added more bookmarks than can be displayed in the right-click
menu, choose Bookmarks »
More Bookmarks… from the right-click
menu and then select the bookmark you want from the Go
to Bookmark dialogue box.
Deleting a bookmark
- Right-click in the map area to display the right-click
menu.
- Select Bookmarks »
Delete Bookmarks.
- Select the bookmark you want to delete, and select OK.
