The Road Ahead
The Road Ahead layer group contains three sublayers:
When you expand The Road Ahead layer group the default is for all three sublayers to be on; once displayed they can be turned off and on individually. The information in this layer group is maintained through the Projects and Construction section of the Community Web Pages. Project and point-based location details are immediately reflected in VanMap; however, changes/additions to the street segments will not be available until the following day.
The Road Ahead web site contains information about roadwork, road closures, and other potential traffic delays. In addition to providing a database of major projects under construction, posting traffic advisories and bike route detours, a free subscription service provides individuals with weekly bulletins via e-mail containing project updates, what to expect over the week end and in the coming week.
