Book a tour of your local fire hall to learn fire and life safety

Besides being the first to respond to emergency, medical, and rescue service calls, we also:

  • Promote awareness of fire safety and prevention
  • Attend community events
  • Host fire hall tours to teach fire and life safety to kids
  • Do charity work and fundraising to help improve the lives of people in the community

Did you know?

Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services started in 1886 as the volunteer Vancouver Fire Brigade.

The brigade expanded so rapidly "as regards to equipment and efficiency" that in 1911 a committee of London businessmen rated Vancouver's service the third in the world, behind only London and Leipzig.
