Transport pricing

On November 22, 2022, Council directed staff to suspend work on assessing the feasibility of transport pricing in Vancouver’s city centre. Review the full council decision

In November 2020, Council approved the Climate Emergency Action Plan, which includes actions to significantly cut carbon emissions from our biggest local sources: burning gas and diesel in vehicles and using natural gas in buildings.

To further encourage the shift to active transportation and transit, Council directed staff to assess the feasibility of transport pricing.
