We are creating a plan for the area around the Rupert and Renfrew SkyTrain stations. Area plans are policy documents that shape growth and change and cover a number of topics.
- Community facilities
This area plan will build on the draft Vancouver Plan, External link icon. The Vancouver Plan is a long-term strategy and vision to guide growth and change across the city. It provides a framework for more detailed area plans (such as the Rupert and Renfrew Station Area Plan) that will address specific opportunities and challenges at the neighbourhood scale.
Key opportunities for the area plan include:
- Advancing reconciliation
- Adding more housing choice
- Protecting Still Creek
- Supporting job growth
- Making it easier to walk, cycle, or roll through the area
Additional opportunities will be identified in collaboration with the:
- xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations
- Local businesses
- Community organizations
