The City of Vancouver and CUPE Local 1004 have concluded a tentative settlement for a renewed collective agreement.  CUPE 1004 represents approximately 1600 outdoor workers employed by the City and Park Board.
The prior agreement between the City and CUPE Local 1004 expired on December 31, 2011. The parties commenced negotiations in March of this year and have worked hard to achieve a constructive, balanced outcome.
The tentative settlement is subject to ratification by City Council and the membership of CUPE Local 1004. No further details on the agreement will be available until ratification is complete.
