2017-2021 Budget Outlook

It's your opportunity to get involved in the community engagement process for the City's 2017 budget and five-year financial plan.

We are offering several ways to engage with you before the full draft 2017 budget and five-year financial plan is released in November. The budget will then be reviewed by Council and the public before being finalized in December.

We've released the budget outlook

The 2017-2021 Budget Outlook helps guide you through our budget decisions, with a goal of keeping property-tax increases at a manageable level for homeowners and businesses, while enhancing services, infrastructure, and programs.

Facing the challenges and opportunities of a growing city, the budget outlook focuses on the key areas of:

  • Building a sustainable city
  • Enhancing the city's vibrancy, affordability, and liveability
  • Maintaining the City's financial health and enhancing operational effectiveness
  • Fostering Canada's leading economy
