Vancouver voters elect 27 to public office

Vancouver voters have elected 27 people to public office following the preliminary count of 2014 municipal election ballots. 119 people ran for office.

Voter turn-out is estimated to be about 44 per cent, up from 35 per cent in 2011. This is a very strong turn-out for the City of Vancouver, surpassing the goal of 40 per cent.

Vancouver residents elected one Mayor, 10 City Councillors, seven Park Board Commissioners and nine School Trustees.

The official election results will be declared by the Chief Election Officer by November 19, 2014.
