Vancouver International Bird Festival

Vancouver takes flight during Vancouver International Bird Festival

From bird nerd to bird curious, from wise old owl to adventurous tot, there is an event for everyone during the Vancouver International Bird Festival (VIBF). The festival is held August 19 to 26, 2018, in conjunction with the International Ornithological Congress .

VIBF is a week-long series of events to celebrate Vancouver's birds. It was inspired by World Migratory Bird Day, a United Nations-sponsored initiative that recognizes the importance of birds as key indicators of our environment's health, and evolved from Vancouver's annual Bird Week.

During VIBF, spread your wings at bird-related workshops, walks, talks, cultural events (including a parade!), exhibitions, and lectures across Vancouver and the region.
