  • Theatre, dance, and music workshops
  • Poetry nights
  • Dances
  • Karaoke

The gallery on the third floor showcases works of local artists.

View our program guide to find out when programs take place.

Cultural sharing programs

Cultural events such as Chinese New Year, National Indigenous Peoples Day, and Hanukkah are celebrated at Carnegie Centre.

First Nations people at the centre celebrate their Indigenous culture on National Indigenous Peoples Day and Aboriginal Veterans Day through special feasts, elders gatherings, and culturally appropriate trips and outings.

Weekly meeting

The cultural sharing group meets every Monday in the theatre.

The group includes First Nations from across British Columbia and Canada who respect and learn from one another. They speak many different languages, and enjoy various cultural traditions and customs.

Arts and crafts

Come share your art form, whatever it is at our arts 'n crafts program. Make an art or craft item to contribute to the program, and another to take home.

Music and dance

Drum groups and dancers are welcome to practice their drumming and dance in the theatre on Monday evenings.

Anyone practising this art form is asked to remain respectful of the dance and drum protocols so as not to offend others present.

Carnegie is a drug- and alcohol-free space, and everyone attending is asked to respect this protocol.
