Downtown skateboard park
The Downtown skateboard plaza is near the southeast corner of Andy Livingstone Park, between Quebec and Union Streets under the Georgia and Dunsmuir Viaducts.
This street-style skateboard park, opened in 2004 and recently upgraded in 2011, is a popular destination for advanced skateboarders.
The covered 2,000 m² (21,500 ft²) site features:
- Replica rails
The plaza has a variety of surface textures such as exposed aggregate, brick, concrete, granite, and steel.
During the summer months, a skate host is available three to four mornings or afternoons per week to help with minor maintenance, skate park etiquette, and first aid.
