From May 1 to 31, we are offering a 3-month, $99 promotional Flexipass. Vancouver's total recreation pass gives you access to 21 fitness centres, 9 indoor and 4 outdoor pools, and 8 ice rinks!

During 90 days, you can get fit at our fitness centres or enjoy the sunshine and have a great time with family and friends at one of our indoor and outdoor pools.

Already have an active Flexipass? No problem. Take advantage of this offer and the 90 days will be added to the end of your current pass.

Participate in one of our physical activity screenings to better plan your health goals, register for a Functional Movement Screening to learn how to improve your movements and avoid injures, try our new Cycle/TRX circuit class, or book your 30-minute free personal training session.

Additional offer

  • Calendar of free classes and activities will be featured online and at facilities
  • Free classes and activities will be registrable in-person (at the fitness centre) or online, with the exception of indoor cycling classes. Existing registration process for indoor cycling still stands. Participants will call in to reserve a bike and scan their Flexipass for admission.
  • All patrons using Park Board operated Fitness Centres will have the chance to win an indoor cycling bike.
  • Ballots for a chance to win our grand prize will be available to all fitness centre users every time they use Park Board operated fitness centres. The more they use the fitness centre, the more chances they have to win.

Contest terms and conditions

  1. Eligibility
    • This contest is open to all City of Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation (the “Park Board”) operated fitness centres (Kitsilano, Trout Lake, Mt Pleasant, Hillcrest, West End, Champlain, Kensington, Marpole, Dunbar, Creekside, Renfrew, Strathcona, VAC, Templeton, and Lord Byng) paying and non-paying users, including but not limited to drop in users, 10 visit pass holders, Flexipass holders (regular, employee, or corporate), Leisure Access Pass holders, Vancouver Inspiration Pass holders, or Positive Ticketing Pass holders.
    • Minors under the age of majority will be permitted to enter and be able to win the prize. In no case will a minor be declared a winner without the prior written consent and release of liability of the minor's parent or legal guardian.
  2. How to enter
    • There is no purchase necessary to enter the draw
    • Ballots will be available at all Park Board operated fitness centres. Patrons who meet the eligibility requirements set out above are allowed to enter 1 (one) ballot every time they use a Park Board Fitness Centre (1 ballot per day limit).
  3. Contest period
    • May 1, 2019 at 6am to May 31, 2019, at 11pm
    • Draw will take place on June 19, 2019
  4. Prize
    • There is one (1) grand prize of an indoor cycling bike available to be won, with an approximate value of $2000.
    • The prize is neither refundable nor transferable. The prize must be accepted as awarded with no cash equivalent available.
    • The Vancouver Park Board reserves the right to substitute any prize. The prizes are provided to winners as is without further warranty of any kind.
  5. Winner selection
    • The odds of winning the prize will depend on the total number of eligible entries received on or before the closing date. Estimated odds are 1 in 10,000.
    • Prize winners will be contacted by email or phone and may be required to complete and return a release form in order to redeem their prize. The winner will have 7 days to claim the prize by phone or email - after this time period, the prize will be forfeited. 
    • Winner is responsible for picking up the prize at Hillcrest Community Centre (4575 Clancy Loranger Way). Prize will be available for pick up after June 19, 2019.
  6. Release 
    • The contest winner will be required to execute a legal agreement and release (“Release”) that confirms the winner’s:
      • Eligibility for the contest and compliance with these contest terms and conditions
      • Acceptance of the prize as offered
      • Release of the Park Board, the City of Vancouver and their respective affiliates, employees, directors, officers and agents (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damages, cost or expense arising out of participation in the contest, participation in any contest-related activity or the acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize, including but not limited to costs, injuries, losses related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light, or from any and all claims of third parties arising therefrom
      • Grant to the Park Board the unrestricted right to produce, reproduce, publish, broadcast, communicate by telecommunication, exhibit, distribute, adapt and otherwise use or re-use the winner’s name, photograph, likeness, voice and biography, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, in connection with the contest. The executed Release must be returned within two (2) business days of the date indicated on the accompanying letter of notification or the verification as winner or the selected entrant will be disqualified and the prize forfeited.
  7. Limitations of liability
    • Each contest participant assumes liability for injuries caused or claimed to be caused by participating in the contest, or by the acceptance, possession, use of, or failure to receive any prize. 
    • The Park Board assumes no responsibility or liability in the event that the Contest cannot be conducted as planned for any reason, including those reasons beyond the control of the Park Board. 
  8. Use of personal information
    • By participating in the contest, each contest participant grants the Park Board the right to use his/her:
      • Name, mailing address, age range, telephone number, e-mail address, photograph, portrait and likeness (collectively the “Personal Information”) for the purpose of administering the contest, including but not limited to contacting and announcing the winner and coordinating the provision of the prize
      • Personal information for publicity and promotional purposes relating to the contest, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, without further compensation unless prohibited by law.

    • By entering this contest the entrants automatically agree to accept and abide by these contest terms and conditions
