Re-opening during COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

We're re-opening with a series of new guidelines to allow the community to safely enjoy the garden and its spring blooms.

If you're feeling sick,  particularly if you're experiencing flu-like symptoms, please stay home.

We closed voluntarily on March 16 as a precautionary measure due to COVID-19. We recognize the positive impact outdoor spaces have on the physical and mental well-being of our community members. We've decided to reopen the garden with a series of new operational measures.

Planning a visit

Visitors and members will be required to purchase a ticket in advance online for a designated entry time.

Entry times will be available every 30 minutes. The first entry time will be at 9am, and the last entry time will be at 6pm.

The first two entry times Monday through Friday (9am and 9:30am) are reserved for VBGA members only.

If you require an attendant

You do not need to purchase a ticket for them. Purchase your own ticket online, and let our staff members know your attendant is accompanying you when you present your ticket for scanning.

Leisure Access Pass (LAP) holders

If you would like to purchase a ticket to the garden, call our admissions line at 604-257-8463 during regular business hours.

Our staff will be able to assist you and apply the LAP discount manually. If you are inquiring outside of regular business hours, email with your full name and phone number, and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Visitors are encouraged to arrive on time. There will be a 30-minute grace period.

The recommended visit time is between 30 and 90 minutes.
