Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Centre – located in downtown Vancouver's Yaletown neighbourhood – is a historic railway complex with arts, crafts, and leisure spaces.
Our facility has after-school child care; dance, pottery, and woodworking studios; a gymnasium; multi-purpose rooms; exhibition space; and a 200-seat theatre. We are also home to Engine 374, a locomotive that pulled the first trans-continental passenger train across Canada and into Vancouver in 1887.

Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Centre
The Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Centre is jointly operated by the Vancouver Park Board and the Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Society (RCARS).
RCARS's mandate for The Roundhouse is to be both a centre for community cultural development, and a community source for recreational activities for all ages, by exploring issues, taking risks, and striving to bring people together in new ways to explore what is important to them.
