COVID-19 update: programs paused

April 19, 2021: All adult indoor low intensity group classes such as fitness, yoga, and martial arts will be paused until May 25, 2021, in order to reduce transmission of COVID-19 as directed by BC’s Provincial Health Officer.

The following programs will continue to operate:

  • Fitness centres with individual and one-on-one training, pools and arenas
  • All children/youth programs
  • Individual sport programs
  • Adult outdoor activities up to groups of 10

If your program is suspended, we will contact you. You can also check your account for program schedules or call your community centre for more information.

Check back for updates.

Community centres reopened in a phased approach on September 8.

Programs and services focus on children, youth, seniors, and food security. Registration dates vary.

Register for a program and plan a safe visit to community centres

April 7, 2021: Masks are mandatory in our facilities at all the times, even if you are vaccinated, with the exception of those under the age of 12. You are required to wear a mask at fitness centres at all times. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided at the front desk.

Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Centre – located in downtown Vancouver's Yaletown neighbourhood – is a historic railway complex with arts, crafts, and leisure spaces.

Our facility has after-school child care; dance, pottery, and woodworking studios; a gymnasium; multi-purpose rooms; exhibition space; and a 200-seat theatre. We are also home to Engine 374, a locomotive that pulled the first trans-continental passenger train across Canada and into Vancouver in 1887.
