The Vancouver Food Strategy was first adopted by City Council in 2013 and is a plan to create a just and sustainable municipal food system that helps us meet our social, environmental, economic, and health objectives. The Strategy includes five goal areas and over 72 actions that relate to all sectors of the food system, including food production and harvesting, food processing, and distribution, food access, and food waste. The implementation of this Strategy is led by Social Policy, within the Department of Arts, Culture, and Community Services.
