A transit bus stopped at a crosswalk

Prioritizing bus corridor improvements

Public transit is an essential service in Vancouver. More than 350,00 people board buses daily on the nearly 50 bus routes in our city.

We are committed to prioritizing transit, so that buses can be on-time and reliable to accommodate the growing transit needs in Vancouver. With funding from TransLink, we are implementing route enhancements to improve access, comfort, bus travel times, and reliability across the city.

Our goals

  • Encourage more people to take transit between homes, jobs, businesses, and destinations
  • Improve transit travel times with more reliable service
  • Improve comfort (reduce overcrowding and create more space at bus stops)
  • Make it accessible for everyone
