Motorcycles

In addition to using regular on-street parking spaces, motorcycle and scooter drivers can use parking spaces designated for motorcycles under Street and Traffic Bylaw 2849.

  • Parking a car in a space designated for motorcycles and scooters is illegal under section 17.2 (j) of the bylaw

When parking your motorcycle or scooter, you must follow the same rules as any motorized vehicle

  • Stopping or parking on a sidewalk is illegal under section 17.4 (c) of the bylaw
  • Stopping or parking on a boulevard is illegal under section 17.4 (e) of the bylaw
  • Stopping too close to a corner is illegal under sections 17.5 (b) and 17.5 (c) of the bylaw
