Report of the Ad Hoc Integrity Commissioner – June 7, 2021
On March 11, 2021, the City Manager appointed an ad hoc Integrity Commissioner in accordance with section 5.6(a) of the Code of Conduct By-Law No. 12886 (the "By-law"). The ad hoc Integrity Commissioner was appointed to consider a complaint brought by a member of the public (the "Complainant") in relation to a tweet posted on the Twitter account of Mayor Kennedy Stewart on January 28, 2021. On June 7, 2021, the ad hoc Integrity Commissioner delivered a report (the "Report") to City Council, the Complainant and Mayor Stewart. The Report found that Mayor Stewart did not breach the City’s Code of Conduct Policy. On June 9, 2021, a copy of the Report was made available to the public in accordance with section 6.31(c) of the By-law.
