Heritage Bylaws
Heritage designation is a tool used to protect heritage buildings from demolition and unsympathetic alteration, and subsequent loss of character or value.
Sites designated between 1974 and January 2003 are protected by the Heritage Bylaw No. 4837. Sites designated after January 2003 are protected by an individual Heritage Designation Bylaw.
