Apply for an annual residential parking permit

  • 1 You are currently on Verify step Verify

This is a timed session. Have pages 1 and 2 of your updated ICBC insurance documents and payment on hand before you begin the application.

The system does not have the option to return to the previous screen once you’ve reached the payment stage. Do not start a new application or your credit card may be charged for multiple transactions. If you have issues completing the application, phone 3-1-1 for assistance or apply for a permit in person.

You must return your decal in person to get a partial refund or replacement decal. If you move, change your vehicle, or change your licence plate, your permit will no longer be valid.

Requirements to buy your permit online

  1. Be a resident of the residential permit area you applying for
  2. Be the registered owner or lessee and the declared principal operator of the vehicle
  3. Have a valid ICBC Autoplan insurance policy that shows your current address within the permit zone

Both addresses must exactly match. If they don't, you must buy your permit in person.

Enter your name and address into the permit application exactly as it appears on your ICBC insurance papers. If the information entered into the application is different from the ICBC information that is returned to us, your application may be delayed or denied.

To update your insurance, visit an Autoplan broker in person.

  4. Have an email address

If your application is not approved, you will receive an email with further details.

Because of the high volume of requests and a shift to most permits being issued remotely, it can take 5-10 business days for us to review and reply.
Your residential address

Enter your residential address (including unit number if applicable). It must be the same address that your vehicle is registered to on page 1 and 2 of your ICBC policy.
