City Services and Community Resources

This guide is a city-wide listing of local city services and community resources that are available. You can also find a listing of these services and resources specific to your neighbourhood. To find a community specific listing, access your community profile by selecting from the list or map, then click on the 'Services & Resources' link located under the 'PROFILE' section at the top left of the community profile page.

	Arts & Culture	Parks & Recreation Arts Site (The Vancouver Park Board offers many opportunities for you to bring art into you and your family's everyday life) Office of Cultural Affairs (advises Vancouver City Council on issues and strategies related to the cultural sector, develops and administers cultural policies and programs, and participates in city planning and development processes) Public Art Registry for Vancouver (provides information and images of public artworks located throughout Vancouver) Performing Arts Facilities in Vancouver (a comprehensive listing of all performance and rehearsal facilities in Vancouver including detailed information on stage and seating configurations, rehearsal room dimensions, lobby and public areas, technical equipment, etc. as well as rental rates and policies)

	City Statistics	1996-2006 Census Data for Entire City / vs. Metro Vancouver (check your community profile for your neighbourhood statistics - in the top left section of your community profile page, select the link entitled 'Statistics')

	Community Centres	Community Centres (a listing and map of all centres in Vancouver)

	Community Groups	Check your community profile for a listing of community groups and local organizations in your neighbourhood - or add your community group to our listing!

	Fire & Rescue	Vancouver Fire & Rescue Services Website (includes information about emergency preparedness, fire prevention, recruitment, and safety tips for your household)

	Health Offices	Vancouver Coastal Health - Find Services (Find health services provided by VCH using this searchable database that enables users to search by service name or keyword, health topics, and/or area served)

	Garbage & Recycling	Collection Schedules (for garbage, recycling and yard trimmings in all Vancouver neighbourhoods)
