Active Adventure Park Days

The Active Adventure Park Day  season is well under way. Four of ten events have already taken place. At these exciting events, participants are provided the opportunity to get their bodies moving, and keep the smiles and laughter flowing. You see dads walking on stilts, moms skipping, families hula hooping and children having fun everywhere.

There are six more Active Adventures Park Days . Come out and "Step It Up 20%" at one of the remaining events in your community!

Pandora Park – Sunday, May 17, 1:00 to 4:00 pm
Killarney Community Centre – Saturday, May 23, 1:00 to 4:00 pm
Dunbar Community Centre – Sunday, May 24, 11:00 to 3:00 pm
Langara YMCA – Saturday, May 30, 10:00 to 3:00 pm
Mt. Pleasant Days – Saturday, June 6, 11:00 to 3:00 pm
Strathcona Park – Sunday, June 14, 1:00 to 4:00 pm

Children and families alike are enjoying many physical activities and games such as MoreSports soccer, hockey, badminton, circus games, the Edge climbing wall, winter games obstacle course, mini Community Police Training circuit and more!

Kerrisdale Arena hosted an Active Adventures Park Day  in conjunction with Kerrisdale Days on April 25th. Sunset and Kitsilano Community Centres both continued the fun by hosting events during the first two weekends in May. A total of 10, 000 visitors were in attendance!

The amazing success of these events was made possible by those who helped by provided volunteers, staff, equipment and funding.
