This area is home to the city's highest population of children and youth and fastest growing seniors population. Numerous languages are spoken throughout the community and its ethnicity is celebrated through a variety of diverse and vibrant cultural events.

A variety of programs and services for all ages including a preschool, gym and sport activities, aerobics, fitness, dance programs, martial arts, language classes, community art projects and special events. Leadership programs for youth are also offered here in cooperation with other agencies. The community centre's facilities include: a fitness centre, indoor swimming pool, sauna and whirlpool as well as a games area, room rentals for socials, meetings and community events. Summer programs are organized outdoors at four playgrounds (some with wading pools) at nearby parks as well as day camp programs at the centre.
