Celebrate Skateboarding Week by grinding and sliding your board at some of the city's best riding locations. Skateboard facilities are sited on a number of parks around the city offering something for everyone from the beginner to the highly skilled and for a range of interests, including bowls, ramps, hipboxes and street-style layouts. China Creek Park South at East Broadway and Clark DriveA single bowl, pyramid and a hipbox are open dawn until dusk daily. For more information call the Park Board Office at 604-257-8400. [Location Info] Coopers' Park (North False Creek, under Cambie Bridge)Two skate benches, grind rail and other features have been added to make the park more skate-friendly, separate from the children's playground. [Location Info] Downtown Skateboard PlazaQuebec and Union Streets under the Georgia/Dunsmuir Viaducts near the southeast corner of Andy Livingstone Park. Street-style skateboard park, very popular and one of the first of its kind in North America.
